Fermo

Fermo is low/medium alloyed tool steel suitable for blanking and forming in short series and of larger structural parts where the cutting edges are flame or induction hardened. Fermo is delivered in prehardened condition.

General

Fermo is a relatively low alloyed tool steel with very good properties for flame-/induction hardening and very good welding properties. This profile makes the steel very useful for fast tool making in order to reduce standstill at premature tool failures, for prototype tooling and for upgrading of construction steels in machine parts exposed to heavy wear (HPS-applications).
